Duo Cuerda cantabile

Susana and Nirse created the duo "Cuerda Cantabile" in 2003 while they studied in the Real Conservatory of Madrid. They had the opportunity to perform in different concert halls in Spain and Germany. From 2006 to 2008 they received a scholarship from the Yehudi Menuhin Organization Live Music Now.

 

The repertoire of "Cuerda Cantabile" consists of original instrumental works and arrangements for guitar and harp. These works include: Fantasia para un Gentilhombre by Joaquin Rodrigo, "Andante, dance and finale" for Guitar and Harp dedicated for the Duo by the Spanish composer Francisco Rodrigo, a concert for Harp, Guitar and orchestra which will be written specially for them by the Venezuelan composer Pedro Mauricio Gonzalez, among others.
